NBC Sports To Present World Championship ‘Match 2021’ Starting 27 November


NBCSN will present coverage of Match 2021 on NBC Sports starting on 27 November, 2021.

NBC Sports has signed media partnership with The International Chess Federation (FIDE) to deliver Match 2021 from 27 November to 16 December 2021.

Match 2021 is World Chess Championship organized by FIDE featuring the reigning world champion, Magnus Carlsen of Norway, defend his title in a 14-game matchup against his Challenger, Ian Nepomniachtchi of Russia.

The tournament was originally scheduled in 2020 but postponed due to the pandemic will finally take place between 26 November and 16 December 2021.

NBCSN will present a 30 minute show daily on Match 2021 starting 27 November from the FIDE World Championship and will also present highlights of each game throughout the United States.
